This makes it easier to persuade their potential voters. Remember Democrats came off as "too nuanced" in the last few elections. The point is that the world IS nuanced and not black and white. Unfortunately the general population tends to fall asleep during nuanced discussions. The only answer that I can see is education. The more people know the more sense the nuanced discussion will make to them. posted by: TexasFred (reply) post date: 08.15.05 (10:25 am) "Conservatives Good; Liberals Bad" Great analogy.... posted by: gesn (reply) post date: 08.16.05 (2:26 am) Reply to: TexasFred Glad you approve of my 'Unk Tantor' approach to blog titles ... too bad I can't comment on your over-simplifications directly ... posted by: gesn (reply) post date: 08.16.05 (2:33 am) Reply to: DrForbush I'm fine with simplifying things into short - even inaccurate - pat phrases; we need to learn from the opposition sometime. posted by: imahk (reply) post date: 08.17.05 (5:39 pm) Reply to: gesn got common sense-analogy--vs.-- elitists-bookworms/flip-flop posted by: gesn (reply) post date: 08.18.05 (2:02 am) What? You're still not making sense. Who flip-flopped? what common sense analogy? What's wrong with reading a book? |
